UPDATED: RAPES IN SOUTH TULSA: Sex crime detective may not know meaning of ‘recidivism’

I have nothing against Tulsa Police Sex Crimes Sergeant Mark Mears, but he really needs to learn the ‘definition’ of key ‘criminology’ ‘terms’! Like any doofus trying to impress, Mears likes to use multi-syllabic words (go ahead, look it up you retard) even if he does not realize their proper use.

Following the heinous rape of a jogger at LaFortune Park and at a South Tulsa apartment, Mears is enjoying educating the public about rape facts and fictions. However, when he says on the FOX23 blog“Sex offenders are by nature recidivist. They just don’t do one normally,” he should just keep it simple so he does not confuse himself or the public.

The definition of ‘recidivist’ means someone who has failed rehabilitation, been punished and released, so unless the offender is a graduate of America’s ‘rehabilitation’ programs or prisons and Mears knows it he does not even know the meaning of a key term in criminology. Mears should have said ‘habitual,’ but ‘recidivist’ sounds en-till-a-gint to the stupid, stupid ‘public.’

That supposed habit-forming criminal behavior is why the injustice system cracks down so hard on the smallest offense – because rarely is the offender a one-timer. This is all bullshit, of course. Cops are given every single excuse when they commit crimes, just given the thin blue shrug, when alllllll the evidence shows that offenders are serial offenders.

It is hard to even be angry at these pathetic bullies sometimes, but their actions or inactions cause more crime than they prevent. Want to talk about rape, then talk about the scourge of male rape in the injustice system – way more rapes per year there than in the general public, and when those victims are released all damaged and deranged how do they act? Happy, well-adjusted, rehabilitated? They come out more vicious, angry, and determined to regain The Power. Good job, injustice system!

So unless Sgt. Mears knows something he is not saying, this is not a case of ‘recidivism.’

  1. The definition of “recidivist” does not necessarily require past rehabilitation failure. Merriam Webster defines it as, “one who relapses; a habitual criminal.”
It would seem that your first sentence, “I have nothing against … Mark Mears ….,” says it all. It is apparent from the tone of your rant that you do, indeed, have something against him.

    • I agree that the comments made toward Detective Mears must stem from a personal resentment. I am confused, who is the “bully” you are referring to in this rant?

I am certain more people are offended by your use of the word “retard” than your perceived misuse of criminal terminology by Detective Mears. Most do not feel the need to prove their superior intelligence in a public forum, unless they feel inferior.
Thank you Tulsa Sex Crimes Division and Detective Mears for your personal sacrifice and continued dedication to protecting our community.

  2. sex offender n. generic term for all persons convicted of crimes involving sex, including rape, molestation, sexual harassment and pornography production or distribution. In most states convicted sex offenders are supposed to report to local police authorities, but many do not.

“Michael Ray Harris, 46, is also accused of raping three women in Tulsa and attacking them in parking lots.

When police arrested Harris, they say detectives were able to connect evidence including his red Jeep with two unsolved cases from last fall.

He was an unregistered sex offender from an offense in Texas.  His preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 27th.

“Sex offenders are by nature recidivist. They just don’t do one normally,” said Mears. ”

You can’t be a “Habitual” Sex Offender.
