How much $ did the NCAA lose by coming to Tulsa?

Basking in the glow of the nationally-televised NCAA games from last week, it is perfectly normal for Tulsa’s media bloggers to focus on the positive and not the negative, for Officials to spin how great everything was.  Tulsans should be proud of our town, has it ever looked as nice as it did the past week?

But with the media bloggers and Officials talking up the broader economic impact of the games, and absolutely no word on attendance at the actual games, one could rightly assume that attendance was not great.  If the arena was only half-full for games – how much did the NCAA actually make?  I am guessing that Officials promised a certain attendance level, and no matter how quaint and homey our T-Town may have been that will be the only number that matters.
